ORATORY

In Oratory, the artist shows us how marble resembles the strength of today's women. Thus, these two works pay tribute to women who tirelessly give their all.

The artist was inspired by the marble stones of the La Casería oratory, a spiritual retreat near the Sierra Nevada mountains. She used materials such as carbon filings, golden tones that resemble brass, and rock shapes. All of this, set against a special background, makes the works resemble natural gemstones. A thin layer of epoxy resin covers them, giving them the shimmering appearance of sapphire crystal.

These works are a tribute to women who are mothers, work, take care of the home, and are always ready for their partners. They are women who take on many responsibilities. The veins of the marble and the hardness of the materials in the paintings show us how diverse and strong women are. Thanks to their inner strength, they can overcome anything, demonstrating incredible fortitude in every aspect of their lives.
